A memorial service for Bonnie Mae Harris, 64, who passed away in White Salmon on May 5, 2017, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Husum Church of God in Husum, Washington. She was born February 7, 1953 in The Dalles, Oregon to Hazel Rose (Bertschi) and Ralph Seeley Parsons. Bonnie was the granddaughter of Vilas (Big) Bertschi and Cassie (Leaton) Bertschi and Ralph Parsons and Mildred (Daley) Parsons. She was the oldest of seven with an older half-brother. Her siblings are Glen, Bill, Ralph (Eddie), Donna, Vera, Stephen and Tim. Bill and Stephen are deceased. Bonnie's grandparents all lived in Glenwood and were neighbors to each other for many years. After moving to BZ Corners in the late fifties, they were once again neighbors. Bonnie grew up in Glenwood and BZ Corners, graduating from Columbia High School in 1972. She married Jim Harris in 1979. He passed away in 1982. The couple lived in Lyle before his passing and have one son, Steve, and one grandson, Zackery. Bonnie was a volunteer at the Senior Center and for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church, the Glenwood Pioneers Association, Glenwood Women's Club and attended the Church of God in Husum. Bonnie is survived by her mother, five siblings, son, grandson, her companion of 27 years Don Brogan, and stepchildren Farrell, David, Ricky, Jimmy and Kim Harris.
