Franklin L. VanBuskirk, 69, passed away at his home in Dallesport, Washington on November 30, 2017. He was born in Yuma, Arizona on February 21, 1948 to Jewell Imogene (Rudd) and Thomas Anderson VanBuskirk, Jr. He served honorably in the United States Army during Vietnam. Frank married Denice Thomas in Modesto, California on March 30, 1968. He was a painter/contractor with Bright Construction. Mr. VanBuskirk was baptized as a Baptist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gold panning. He also liked travelling, canvas painting and loved drag racing. It may have taken longer, but he just died for his country due to cancer from agent orange. What brave souls our Vietnam vets are! So remember these boys and give them the honor they deserve for dying for their country! Frank is survived by his wife Denice VanBuskirk of Dallesport; children Renee Griffith of Mulino, Oregon, David VanBuskirk of Goldendale, Washington and Thomas "Andy" VanBuskirk of Dallesport; brother Jimmy VanBuskirk of Wausau, Wisconsin; sister Kathy Wegner of Ceres, California; brother Randy VanBuskirk of Modesto; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
