Friday, November 24, 2017Bill and I are very sorry to learn of Gary's passing. We live two houses from Lori and were able to visit with him a few times over the years. Bill and Gary were classmates; I was a year behind them in school. We both have fond memories of Gary from school, but the memory that comes back immediately is of Gary and his "Fickle finger of fame" from basketball games. It was a giant paper mache finger and when someone did something questionable, Gary would point the giant finger and yell. Of course it soon was outlawed, but it was fun while it lasted. Prayers of peace and comfort to you as you mourn Gary. Bill & Roseann Groom

Wednesday, November 8, 2017So sorry for your loss, I was going to bring photos of Eldon to Gary next summer. Just seemed like they belonged with him. I will get them to someone in the family as I am sure they are things you did not have. All my best

Wednesday, November 8, 2017My sincere condolences to Anita and Gary's sisters. I've been a friend of Gary's for several years, since I moved to Vancouver. I met Gary for movies at the Dalles and for a soak in the tubs at Bonneville followed by a spa lunch too many times to count over the years. He always was the consummate storyteller. I will miss our friendship and our conversations. He was great guy.
