Phyllis Fay Zaugg passed away at her home in Mill A, Washington on January 3, 2018 at the age of 84. She was born in Baker, Oregon on February 15, 1933 to Juanita (Hill) and Franklin C. Droke. Phyllis graduated from Union High School in 1952 and married Waldo Stringham Zaugg on August 11, 1953 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The Zauggs moved to Wisconsin and Ohio before settling in Mill A. Phyllis was a member the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed cake decorating, gardening, tending to her flowers, picking berries and fishing. Survivors include her husband, Waldo Zaugg of Mill A; children and their spouses Linda and Gary Rathgerber of Mill A, Debra and Jerry Lewis of Husum, WA, and Craig and Dawn Zaugg of Pahrump, NV; daughter-in-law Diane Zaugg of Ogden, UT; 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son Steve Zaugg. A funeral service was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint in White Salmon, Washington on Monday, January 8, 2018 with burial at the White Salmon Cemetery.
