Thomas James Froehlich, 70, went to join his parents Felix and Violet (Schatz) Froehlich, his infant sister Dorothy, and his nephew Jerry Theabolt on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019.
Tom was born Sept/ 28, 1948, in Yakima, Washington. Tom lived most his life in Goldendale. Tom’s greatest joy in life was time spent with family as often as possible. When not aiding and assisting friends and neighbors, he could be found hunting or fishing.
Tom is survived by his sisters: Theresa (Jim) Russell of Joseph, Oregon, and Charlotte (Gary) Burton of Lyons, Oregon; brothers: Fred (Gail) Froehlich of Goldendale and Martin Froehlich of Carson, Washington; four nephews; four nieces; four great nephews; and three great nieces.
Tom was a patriot and very proud of his service to his country. He was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam war where he was awarded the Purple Heart medal for wounds received in combat.
Rosary will be held Friday, Aug. 30, 2019, at 7 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Goldendale. Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., also at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Internment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at the parish hall after the internment.
