Cynthia Mae Escene

Cynthia Mae Escene was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty and friend to many.  She lost her battle with cancer quite unexpectedly on Friday, September 6, 2019 in The Dalles, Oregon.  She was 63 years old.  Cynthia touched everyone she knew with her big smile, big love, and open arms.

Born in Goldendale, Washington on April 13, 1956, Cynthia was welcomed by parents Helen (French) and Ellwood Keith LaDue.  She married Carl Tom Escene on July 4, 1987 at Big Cedars in Cook, Washington.  Cynthia was a Yakama tribe member and the owner of Indian Heaven Construction.

She loved spending time with her family and traveling with her daughter and grandson, especially enjoying beach trips.  Cynthia was always looking to help others.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Tom Escene, of Stevenson, Washington; son Carl Shane Escene of Chimacum, Washington; daughter Lisa Ellen O’Neal of Stevenson; son Robert Wayne O’Neal of Carson, Washington; brother Daryl LaDue of Lake Stevens, Washington; sister Harriet Leaton of Glenwood, Washington; brother William “Billy” LaDue of Carson; 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
