Obituary of Bessie Albert

Bessie Geneva Bunch Albert passed away in Stevenson, Washington on September 1, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 4, 1916 in Lukfadda, Oklahoma to Elizabeth Louella (Cunningham) and David Richard Bunch. Bessie married Ralph Albert in Oklahoma on January 11, 1935. She worked at Skyline Hospital as a cook and belonged to the Grace Baptist Church, Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge where she served as Noble Grand. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting, sewing, painting and other crafts. Bessie also liked many outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, picking huckleberries, traveling, and the beach, but most of all spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Albert was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph, four sisters, two brothers and great grandson Larry. She is survived by her children Talmage Albert and his wife Lucille of Husum, Washington, Patricia Stephenson and her husband Calvin of White Salmon, Washington, Jeral Albert of Sherwood, Oregon, and Linda Cage of LaCenter, Washington; eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and thirteen great, great grandchildren. A funeral service was held Thursday, September 6 at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon with interment at the White Salmon Cemetery.
