Obituary of Carl Trosper
On Tuesday, June 22, 2021, Carl D. Trosper, devoted son, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 62. Carl was born in Louisville, Mississippi to Robert and Maudine Trosper on October 14, 1958. Soon after his birth, Robert, Maudine and Carl took a train west to Bingen, Washington, where they raised Carl and his younger brothers John and Wayne Trosper. For 40 years Carl worked as a forklift operator, over the years he most enjoyed his time with local fruit companies. He took pride in his work, he was dedicated and loyal, he would never take a day off. While working his day job he always had other projects on the side, in his earlier years he cut firewood with his father, he got into recycling scrap metal and even had his own recycling business for a short time. Over the years Carl had many hobbies, his greatest joy was when he rode motocross in his teens and early twenties. He also loved to be outdoors and hiked large sections of the Pacific Crest Trail and ascended innumerable trails throughout The Gorge. He also enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching birds at home with his parents, and playing chess. Due to a decline in his health, Carl was eventually forced to retire, in those years his focus came even more so on family, he treasured every second of being with his daughters and grandchildren. Carl would have done anything for his girls, he was selfless when it came to their happiness. Carl wouldn’t have described himself as a social man, but he was always friendly and showed everyone the same respect he would have wanted back. Carl was preceded in death by his father Robert. He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law Tabitha and Buck and Ashley and Corey, his mother Maudine, his brothers John and Wayne, and his three grandchildren Wiley, Wilder and Wynter. Carl suffered from health complications, his daughters ask that if you would like to pay tribute to his life to please consider donating to organizations that support ongoing research and promote awareness for diabetes and heart disease.
