Obituary of Bill Garrett Addington
Please share a memory of Bill to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bill Garrett Addington died at his home in Glenwood on September 2, 2021 at the age of 51. Bill was born on September 14, 1969 in White Salmon, Washington to MaryAnita (Leaton) and Vern Addington. He was raised in Glenwood, where he was active in 4-H, Junior Rodeo and basketball. After graduating from Glenwood, Bill pursued a career in logging, construction and ranching. Bill enjoyed hunting mushrooms, deer, bear and elk with his friends and family. You could always count on Bill to know where the elk were hanging out. He would spend days taking you to the best places. He especially enjoyed taking his friends from Bremerton out hunting. His friends and family would spend hours looking for him at the end of a days’ hunt because he would never come out where he said he would. If you walked with Bill in the woods it was guaranteed you couldn’t keep up and his favorite direction was up. Bill has a special connection to the ranch and cattle his ancestors had built and raised. You could see it in his step when he was chasing a yearling back in the pasture through a fence. Bill is survived by his father Vern Addington of Glenwood and his sister Vernadean Dean of Husum. Mr. Addington was preceded in death by his mother MaryAnita Addington.
