Obituary of Debra L. Sheets

Debra L. Sheets Nov. 17, 1956 - Nov. 17, 2021 Debra L. Sheets, 65 of Kennewick passed away on Nov. 17th, 2021 from cancer. She was born on Nov. 17, 1956 to William and Audrey Witzke at the Naval Air Station in Patuxant River Maryland. Her family moved frequently due to her father being in the Navy. They settled in San Diego, CA. after his retirement in 1969. She attended grade school, Junior High and through her Sophmore year in High School in Poway Ca. In her Junior year in high school she stayed with her grandmother in Coalinga Ca. where she started her nursing career that would span 35 years. She retired from nursing in 2005 when she was diagnosed with M.S. In January of 1980 she and Danny Sowards were married but divorced shortly after. She had 1 son Terry. In 1982 she and Tom Brewer were married. They had 2 children - Kjestine and Charles. They divorced in 1987. In December of 1988, she and Gilbert Sheets were married at the Masonic Hall in Goldendale. They were together until his death in 2009. Debra was a member of Evergreen Chapter #1 where she served as Worthy Matron 4 times. She served as Worthy Matron once in White Salmon. She was appointed to several grand chapter committies and in 2012 she served as Deputy Instructor for the Grand Chapter for Gerry Mosler and Bob Breza. She was also a member of Oregon Shrine #1. Debra was proceded in death by her father William in 1993, her brother Allen in 1995, her mother Audrey in 1997 and brother Robert in 2002. 2 grand children - Cain and Savana in 1999, her beloved husband Gilbert in 2009 and her adopted mother Jane in 2017. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Terry and Lori, her daughter Kjestine and son Charles. Her 2 brothers Brian and Bill. Funeral Servicess will be held at the Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel. Services will be given by Evergreen Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, with burial at the Orondo Cemetery in Orondo.
