Charles Alfred Winters was born in Kennewick, Washington on September 20, 1945 to parents Nellie (Elliott) and Ralph Winters. Charlie married Donna Randall on September 20, 1974 in Goldendale, Washington. She preceded him in death. Mr. Winters had a career as a Washington State Park Ranger. Charlie enjoyed riding his chopper and often went on road trips with his wife, family and friends. In his younger years, he liked camping and fishing. Recently, he enjoyed going to yard sales, playing cards, and tinkering in his shop. Charlie was the collector of many little trinkets, and particularly collected eagle items. He took God into his heart last year and occasionally went on retreats with his church. Charlie was an all around friendly, big hearted and kind man. He touched a lot of people’s hearts and made lots of friends. He liked animals, cats and dogs specifically. He was a family man and always enjoyed family gatherings and holidays. Charlie passed away at his home in Goldendale on January 23, 2022 at the age of 76. He will be missed by his children Nellie Winters of Richland, Washington, John Winters of Goldendale, Shelley Winters of Idaho. Joi White of Goldendale, Daniel Winters of Idaho, Cassie Winters of Kennewick, and Ronny Winters of Goldendale; brother Jimmy Dyson of Kelso, Washington; sisters Wanda Goodpaster of Veneta, Oregon and Edna Bowden of Granger, Washington; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on March 4, 2022 at 1 p.m. at 415 E. Court St. in Goldendale.
