Obituary of Wayne Clifford Dillingham
Wayne Clifford Dillingham, 75, passed away in Vancouver, WA on July 30, 2018. He was born in Carson, Washington on September 6, 1942 to Lillian (Grey) and Clifford Dillingham.
Wayne served in the United States Army. While serving, he married Wreaha Kay Wilkie on July 6, 1965 at the Scholfield Barracks Lutheran Church in Hawaii. The couple built their home, with the help of Kay's parents, Robert and Wreaha Wilkie, in Stevenson, WA.
Wayne worked as an electrician for many years at Stevenson Co-Ply and SDS
Mr. Dillingham was a member of the Jaycees and enjoyed tinkering with car engines. He also loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Kay of Stevenson; son Chris Dillingham of Stevenson; daughter Renee Catron-Edwards of Stevenson; siblings Alice Strunk of White Salmon, Glenn Dillingham of Carson, and Josephine Meyer of Vancouver; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings Grace Nolen, Ruth Gittens and Charles Dillingham.
Private burial at the Stevenson Cemetery has been held. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on September 23, 2018 at the Hegewald Center in Stevenson, Washington.
