Obituary of Charles H. Hore
Charles was born to Iris and Jim Hore on June 4th 1939. He was raised at Broughton Lumber Company at Hood Washington and attended White Salmon schools. He was drafted into the Army in 1961 and spent time in Germany as an Army truck driver. He was a resident of Maupin, Oregon working over 30 years for Mountain Fir Lumber Company until they closed. He married his first wife Barbara Riley and raised his family in Maupin. After the mill closed Charlie went to truck driving school and attempted long haul driving for a short time. He moved to Wishram with his 2nd wife Holly Barber and spent more than ten years working for Allied Waste as a truck driver at their Roosevelt Land Fill. His last years were spent retired in Wishram Washington with his 3rd wife Jeri Rufer. He passed in his sleep at home on October 5th 2018.
Charlie was preceded in death by his twin brother Jimmy, his brother Thomas, his parents, his wife Barbara and wife Holly. He is survived by his wife Jeri Rufer Hore, son Thomas Hore and wife Stephane and grandchildren Ethan and Zoe of Salt Lake City, Utah; son Tim Riley, granddaughter Barbara Riley and greatgrandchildren Gabriel and Astrid Rumbo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, brother Jerry Hore and wife Anna of Seal Beach, California. He will be fondly missed by all.
A memorial service is planned for 1 PM, Sat 27th of October in Wishram Washington at the Community Church on Main Street.
