Obituary of Nancy Janis Kilian
Nancy Janis Kilian, 81, passed away on March 15, 2019 in The Dalles, Oregon. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on April 8, 1937 to Harold and Ethel (Peterson) Knadle. Nancy graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University and was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She made a career as an elementary school teacher in Emporia, Kansas. Nancy had a love of flying and took flying lessons. Ms. Kilian liked collecting antiques and stamps and enjoyed fishing. Spending time with her grandchildren was also a favorite pastime. Nancy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Mike Ingle of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; her son and daughter-in-law Frederick and Ping Kilian of Dallesport, Washington; four grandchildren Philip and Sophie Kilian of Dallesport, Amanda Hemerda of Greenville, South Carolina and Allison Ingle of Highlands Ranch; and one great granddaughter Jaci Hemerda of Greenville. A private family memorial will be held this summer in Lincoln, Nebraska. Ms. Kilian will be interred at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln.
