Obituary of Sean Patrick Dale Stennett

Sean Patrick Dale Stennett was gifted to this world on April 12, 2002.  He was welcomed with unconditional love by his parents Seth and Kelly Stennett, his grandparents Kaydee Strong, James Michael Stennett, Kristine Stennett, Robert Hancock, and Nancy Hancock.  His Aunts Andrea Stennett, Abigail Stennett, Jill Stennett, and Christina Dickinson, and his Uncles Brett Stennett, and David Dickinson.

He greeted his brother Carter Stennett with fascination and wonder, birthing a relationship that grew stronger every day as they explored the world around them. They built forts and jumps together, ran together, played video games long past their bedtime, read poems and sang together, and gave their mother many new grey hairs.

Sean was born with an infectious smile and a sense of curiosity about the world that brought joy to those around him.  Sean discovered at a young age that he did not have a natural athletic ability.  This did not stop Sean.  Through strength of spirit and will he made his way to the Washington State Wrestling Championship in 2019 and won the school Bruin award for spirit.  He had already begun training for returning to wrestling in 2020.

Sean loved being outdoors, and creating things.  He went to the State Robotics championship.  He helped his father repair many vehicles, and built many longboards.  He enjoyed camping, hunting, and riding dirt bikes with his father and brother.   He went fishing with his friends whenever he could, even leaving the prom early to go fishing with his date.

Sean was a sincere and earnest person, who placed great value on kindness, honesty and honor. He was a kind and generous soul. He loved cuddling with his dogs. He never hesitated to do whatever he could to support his friends and family. He made sure that those who were lucky enough to be loved by him knew it.  He worried about the welfare of those around him, and was frequently a source of strength and inspiration.

Sean planned on going into a life of service in either the military, or as a firefighter.  He had plans, and contingency plans if those fell through.  He overcame obstacles with an intensity and perseverance that was inspirational.  He was that kind of a guy. He made his family incredibly proud.

Tragically, Sean chose to leave this life on May 22, 2019 in a moment of despair that will forever go unanswerable to those who cherished him.

We, those who loved him, whose lives will never be the same in his horrible absence, will gather to remember and honor the man he was becoming, and the loving soul that we treasured, on May 30 at 4PM at the Grace Baptist Church, 1280 W Jewett Blvd, White Salmon, WA.
