Obituary of Elsie Mae Miler
Elsie Mae (Borden) Miler, 95, passed away at her daughter’s home in Carson on September 8, 2019. She was born on August 20, 1924 to Birdie Mae (Armstrong) and Thomas Coke Borden.
On October 8, 1945 Elsie married George Albert Moon in Yakima. He passed away in 1977. She later married Earl Miler and was married to him until his death in 1984.
Mrs. Miler was a homemaker. She also worked in orchards and sorted apples. Elsie belonged to the Legion Auxiliary and Senior Support Club. She liked growing flowers, quilting, caring for her family, rock hunting and baking.
Elsie is survived by her children Shirley (Moon) Murphy of Home Valley, Carol (Moon) Mulcihy of Carson and Bob Moon of Home Valley; brother Ray Borden and his wife Pearl of Maple Valley, Washington; 12 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren and also many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brothers Tommy, Vernon and James, sisters Viola, Effie and Rhoda, great granddaughter Jessica, and nephew Roger.
