Obituary of David Wayne Polzel

David Wayne Polzel, 64 of passed away on January 17th, 2020 at his home in Stevenson Washington. David was born in Vancouver Washington to Leslie and Edna Polzel on April 29, 1955. He was the devoted father to sons and daughter in-laws Chad & Jennifer Polzel and Matthew & Katie Polzel, Noah Leetch, and daughter and son in-law Abby & Josh Nanocchio. He was the loving grandpa to Chad, Skylar, Logan, Kasen, Kamberlynn, Hayley, Amaya, Roman, Phoenix and Chrysanthemum. He is also survived by longtime girlfriend Kristie Leetch, brothers Craig, Joe and sisters Kathy, Rayline and Nora, as well as several nieces and nephews. David was a long-time resident of Stevenson, WA who enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting and trips to the coast. He was also an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying football, baseball and basketball. He also loved watching his grandson’s sporting events. David was a graduate of Cascade Locks High School and graduated in 1974. While in high school he was the quarterback of the football team, pitcher for the baseball team, a basketball player and a Letterman holder. The Celebration of Life will be held on February 1st at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1744 at 150 1st St Stevenson, WA from 1-3 pm. Celebration is open to the public and will be potluck style.
