Obituary of Robert Lee Stockhoff

In Robert “Bob” Lee Stockhoff’s own words, “I am not here, I am with Jesus.” Bob died at his home in Dufur, Oregon on January 4, 2021 at the age of 87. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas September 24, 1933 to Emma and William “Bill” Stockhoff. The family moved to Oregon when Bob was three years old, where they farmed first at Camp Adair and later in Dayton. After serving in the Army from 1955-1957, he married Beverly Ann Aebischer in Dayton, Oregon on November 29, 1957. Bob was a member and elder of the Dufur Christian Church. Bob loved his family, his family of faith, flying, and farming – his life’s calling. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly. He is survived by his children Karlyn Sieg of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, George Stockhoff of Wishram, Washington, Karl Stockhoff of Jefferson, Oregon, Sally Porter of Hammond, Louisiana and William Stockhoff of The Dalles, Oregon; brother, William “Bill” Stockhoff of Dayton, Oregon; 11 grandchildren; two great children; numerous relatives and countless friends. A service celebrating his life will be held at the Dufur, Christian Church on Saturday, February 6 at 1:00 p.m. The service will also be livestreamed from the church’s webpage: https://www.dufurchristianchurch.org/ .In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Bob’s name to the Dufur Christian Church, PO Box 425, Dufur, OR 97021.
