Obituary of James Edward Potts

James Edward Potts, Jr. was born in Fort Worth, Texas on December 24, 1955 to Barbara Ann (Burgess) and James Edward Potts, Sr. On June 26, 1981, he married Cynthia Jean Wagener in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Potts made his career as a teacher, instructing high school students in Computer Drafting. While teaching at Tulso Midway in Corpus Christi, Texas, three of James’ students won a national competition in computer drafting. They were number one in the nation in 2014. Mr. Potts also loved to fish and held the Texas state record in 1993 for a hybrid striped bass which weighed 8.75 pounds and was 25 inches long. James and Cindy retired to Klickitat, Washington where they were members of the Grace Lutheran Church. Mr. Potts enjoyed hobbies such as photography, gardening, mechanics and computer technology. Last of all, James was a man of all trades. He passed away at his home in Klickitat on March 29, 2021 at the age of 65. James will be missed by his wife Cynthia Jean Potts of Klickitat and his son James Edward Potts, III of Houston, Texas.
